Default About to change the motor on my 99 TXT

I got a new Lightning upgrade motor for cart #2. Anything I need to know about installing this thing? Just pull the three bolts, pull the wires and repeat in reverse right?

Use 2 wrenches on the double nutted motor studs. Do not let the studs spin.

The input and output are splined right? Does it only go 1 way or can the motor be seated anywhere?

Anywhere, then rotate the can to line up the holes. Don't forget to disconnect power to the cart and all.

OK, got it back in. Rotated the can to line up the bolts. The can doesnt seem to sit all the way in. It has like a 1/16 of an inch gap prior to tightening the bolts. Normal?

OK. I got the motor all the way in, hooked everything up, and.....nothing. WTF. The backup chime comes on, the motor spins, but moves a couple feet and stops. Im guessing, the nasty grimed up terminal need to be cleaned up and probably batteries need charging. Am I on the right track?

So i got it all done. Made some 2 gauge wires with tin coated terminals, checked and refilled all batteries. Cleaned all the posts with baking soda slurry. The load tester shows the batteries are good. This thing flys. Thanx Chuck and the whole EMP team. Now to order that Axe controller.....:D
