Default Replace one battery question

I understand that if only replacing one battery you should try to find a battery that matches the condition of the pack. Will it hurt anything
besides your wallet or cause charging issues to install a new battery
with a three year old pack?
48 volts 6 8s. I'll get hydrometer readings and load test tomorrow.

depending on how good the 3 year old batteries are it will just shorten the life of the newer one if theres that big a difference........its a crap shoot but you may end up ok...................................

Thanks Shadowman, This isn't my cart, I wish it was, nice cart 1999 CC.
I don't have a cart of my own but most of my neighbors do and I like working on them. Anyway, I recomended change all bats one battery had a dead cell two others had low hydro readings on one cell each. He chose to go with just one. After being on the charger for 6 hrs pack read 54 volts at 11 hrs still at 54 so unpluged it. Yep the new battery will become an old battery soon, his call.

Watch the 2 with the low readings ..... write your readings down and check them in a month. If they get worse replace them too... You may be fighting a loosing battle.
