Series to Sepex drive systems
What would have to be done to swap my 95 medalist with a series drive motor over to a sepex drive system like a bad boy buggy? Only reason for doing this is I can get a used motor and controller off a 08 bb. It is a regen braking cart. It has a sevcon millipak 500 amp controller. The motor is 15.5hp high torque motor. The medalist is going to have 8 6volt batterys for 48 volts. I would like to keep the stock FR switch if that is possible. I'm researching this now but would like some help from someone that actually has some experience with it.

Re: Series to Sepex drive systems
You won't use a rotary F&R it will be a rocker switch. You will need a PDS wiring harness. Not 100% sure what all is involved with the Sevcon connection

Re: Series to Sepex drive systems
You'd be farther ahead to buy a PDS TXT to throw those upgrades at. A regen upgrade is not going to be cheap.

Re: Series to Sepex drive systems
not planning on buying another cart. If won't swap easily then I'm just back to the drawing board.
