help jog my braindead self.
We have an Ezgo Txt Series with 48volts and Alltrax controller. I have gone through the diags and it leads to the solenoid. I turn on the key switch and the solenoid does not click. I have replaced the solenoid but its the same. If I jump between the big post on the controller side and the small post on the controller side the solenoid clicks and the cart will move.
Someone please jog my memory and remind me of what I am missing. |

The way I read the schematic of a DCS cart with and DCX400(DCS) installed, that would put B+ on both side of the solenoid coil. With Key On, Run/Tow in RUN and F/R in F, what is the voltage on the small terminal the has the banded end of the diode one it? (Should be B+) What is the voltage on the other small terminal? (Should be B+ with throttle pedal up and Zero with pedal pushed) When the pedal is pushed, the voltage on that small terminal (Only has one wire attached - probably Blue) should drop to zero. Does your cart still have a reed switch or was it bypassed? Also, the statement about solenoid not clicking when key is turned on. That is normal, solenoid shouldn't click until pedal is pushed. |

This is a series cart, my brother in laws. It does have the reed switch, and the solenoid does not click with key on and depressing the pedal.

Re: help jog my braindead self.
Oops, I missed the series part in your first post.
And I can see how the solenoid is closing as described (almost) Here is a schematic. The solenoid activation circuit is across the top of the page. Starts at Reed switch, through a fuse and diode to MS-2 on F/R assembly, to Keyswitch, to MS-3 in ITS box and then to solenoid. I'd start by checking for voltage (B+) on the smaller of the three wires coming out of the backside of the charge receptacle. |

Re: help jog my braindead self.
I am not getting any voltage on the small white wire coming out of the charger port.

Connect the small wire from the charger port to the main + terminal of the battery pack.

Connect the red wire it plugs into, to the main positive terminal on the battery pack and you'll be good to go. I see that Scotty got in there while I was typing. |

Re: help jog my braindead self.
Well that was it. Bypassed the reed switch and she ran. We broke the diode, so I need to find a new one though.
