Default Rebuilding 95 ezgo with 295 looking for input

Hello I'm new to this forum. I have a 1995 that I put a lift kit and tires on about 15 years ago. I have done nothing but use and abuse it ever since. Last year I noticed a loss of power. I figured it deserves to be redone. I have torn it apart and will be going over the suspension. I checked compression and have 155 on the pto side and 140 on the flywheel side. Thats alot more then I expected. Whats your thoughts? Also has anybody ever shaved the head? If so how much and what were the results?

Thats kinda what I thought. I just pulled the driven clutch apart, the buttons are just about gone and the helix is in rough shape. Any input on where to get parts?

own venders on here, have them buttons are about 5. each and you can get a power helix for it too.
just clean it and check the bushing reinstall and beat it some more! lol

Thanks for the welcome. I am thinking of getting my driven clutch machined. Can anyone tell me where they remove material when they do the machining? And does it make a big differance.

Those are good compression numbers. I just got my Robin EH35C (350) block and head back from the machine shop yesterday. Bored out to first oversize (0.25 mm), new valves, polish crank, etc. The compression was just under 90 # both cylinders before it stopped running altogether a few weeks back. I noticed that there should be a little more compression and not just because of the new pistons, etc. The new head gasket that came with the kit is paper thin metal. The old one was around 0.045" thick - the new one is half that thick.
