New shocks for a 91 marathon gas
Good morning everyone,
I am looking to add a 4" block lift and extend the shocks to full length without the extension for the standard ones. I have seen people talk about using monroes? however these are really have to get hold of in the UK. I'm wondering if anyone would know the measurement of shock that I will need for a 4" lift? I will post some pics later of how the project is coming along. Thanks in advance. |

Re: New shocks for a 91 marathon gas
I will tell you good luck. My cart is 90 with a 5 in lift and the person who did it put Monroe shocks in. The were fully collapsed when it was sitting still so it bent all the mounting brackets and both shocks were ruined once I realized this after I got it. It was like having no susension and something had to give. I straightened things out and put the standard shocks back in. Granted they are fully extended while sitting still which is not ideal but it rides much better now and I don't do alot of offroading. Just food for thought.
