Solenoid.
Hi guys,
I have had someone look at my car and say the solenoid is kaput. Putting 12 v from the battery turns it over. Could it be a faulty connection? |

Re: Solenoid.
Are you just jumping 12v power across the solenoid?

Re: Solenoid.
No sir. I am bridging the connection from the battery positive to the small positive pole on the base of the solenoid.

Re: Solenoid.
If you can put 12 volts on the small terminal and it turns over you have a activation circuit issue. Could just be the fuse next to the solenoid.

Re: Solenoid.
Yeah it sounds like the problem is between the ignition switch and the solenoid. Trace the wire looking for a break and check the fuse.
