Most people try jumping the solenoid....if it runs jumped the solenid is bad. Depending on the controller you may have to bench test it. If it's a yamaha controller, I'm not sure how to test those.

Roady, thanks for the reply. I heard that yamaha controllers are crap so I think I'm gonna replace it with an alltrax. the solenoid tests good.

Does anyone on here know where I can get the 2 diodes that are in the wiring harness for this g16? I figured I'd go ahead and replace those too.

I need a wiring diagram to wire the AXE 4844 to the wiring that goes to the throttle and other wires that the stock controller is wired to. The wires that come out of the stock controller connect to the Key switch, back switch, limit switch, buzzer, and the accelerator stop switch.

Thanks

I have been in contact with Chuck at Alltrax. First, let me say that the customer support is second to none. I got the AXE 4844 installed, new 4 ga wiring, new White Rodgers 586-907 contactor. The only thing I haven't upgraded is the FnR switch. This is a series cart. The FnR looks like its a sealed unit. Does anyone know where I can get a HD FnR for this cart?

Otter, what did you end up with for the 4 wires into the Alltrax. I'm piecing mine back together and mis labeled the wires. Thanks

Yamaha doesn't make a hd f and r switch you have to go with a hd f and r contactor it replaces the entire forward and reverse system with two connected contactors and replace the lever with a switch. I went through the same with my g16 but the switch is way better and can handal more amps I got mine from Scottyb at cartsunlimited

mikey151- How much did the F&R Contactor run you?

Otter70- They do not make a HD F&R switch for a G16. What I did with the help of Scottyb is use a EZ-GO HD F&R switch that used a 1989-94 center pivot shaft with a EZGO shift handle with minor modifications.
