G16E jerking or "jumping"
As I step on the accelerator, the cart starts by jumping or jerking. Is it a controller, pedal switch or other issues? After "jumping" it moves and runs smoothly.

Re: G16E jerking or "jumping"
Repaired by a friend-mechanic. Reading some materials here, it appears that there could be a problem with the throttle sensor (JN4-85888-00-02). I am not familiar with electric golf carts. Is the throttle sensor different from the accelerator speed switch or just another name for it?

Re: G16E jerking or "jumping"
The pedal has 2 electronics attached to it. An on/off, and a position sensor (how far "on"). I rarely see the position sensor go bad on a Yamaha. There is a provision to adjust it in the pedal area, i would spray a little paint on the threaded rod, so if adjusting it goes wrong, you know where it originally was. If you pull up the rubber floor mat, there is a generous amount of room under the access cover.

Re: G16E jerking or "jumping"
Thanks for the reply. Will do that sometime today. Actually, the "jerk' was not as "violent" after I tightened some bolt/nuts particularly the one attached to the controller. (Remember, the controller was repaired and some part configurations were changed, i.e. the connection nut).
