It all depends on distance and load, hills, heavy foot, etc. My batteries were abused when I got the cart, but they still served my purpose for a LONG time. Climbing hills was slow, but it never stalled, so you may get a few more years before replacement. Even abused batteries will hold up when maintenance improves, if your use isn't too challenging.

I believe in getting your money's worth, but keep an eye on voltage, especially if you have a DCS, and monitor FNR (series) and cables for excess heat.
