Default Can you identify this Ezgo drive system?

Hi all, looking at buying another cart. It is a ways away so I am trying to get as much information about it before making the drive to get it. I asked the seller for a picture of underneath the seat. It is a western 42volt cart from what I can see based on the battery set up but westerns were built on ezgo frames with ezgo drive systems.

What am I going to find under that black cover in between the batteries?
Trying to avoid buying a resistor cart.

Thanks guys!

well truly what you need is a picture if what is under the cover.....and ask the seller if he know if the drive system is "stock" or not. as all we know "for sure" is what you already know, and that is its a 42v cart.

It looks like a 42v series system with a controller, not resistor coils. Looks very similar to a western. It is built on a ezgo frame.

It is a 42v Western series drive. Those batteries are shoehorned in there & they are a bitch to change. F&R access is almost non-existant & it's a very heavy cart.

How hard would it be to turn this thing into 48 Volt with 6-8volt batteries?

Charger, controller, cables, contactor, batteries. Its an expensive conversion, but, on a big heavy thing like that, worth every penny.

I figured it would be a lot. Possibly better to do that once I need batteries if I buy it.
