Default Help with new steering wheel horn kit..

I just purchased a new steering wheel, which came with a horn button and wiring. I currently have the stock column horn button (2008 Precedent) with the black sleeve that covers the horn wiring. Is it as simple as disconnecting the two wires on the old button, and putting them on the new button? Also, how much slack should there be on the wires to compensate for turning the wheel? Pictures are welcome.
