Test charger with no batteries
Hello
Im piecing a cart togther, i havent purchasd batteries yet, I have a Power wise charger that I got with the cart., how can i test it with out batteries to see if it going to work ot need repairs thanks |

There may be a bench test in one of the manuals in "EZ GO gas tech" section of the forum. The easiest way is to find someone with a cart that can test a charge cycle for you. If thats not possible, your local cart dealer would probably do it.

There is no simple way to bench test it without batteries. You could use 3 12 volt batteries to test with. Some folk jump the 2 relay wires...that will kick it on so they can check the output but it won't tell them whether the PC board is any good because when you jump the 2 relay wires you bypass the board.

Thats a tough one. I wouldn't want to buy batts and then find the charger's shot.
If it doesn't work, repair/exchange is not extremely expensive. I THINK I saw them at 75.-100. .......Thats not a quote. |
