G1 Cylinder removal
Hi guys, I'm new here and doing some repair work on a G1 for a friend. Once you remove the head does the cylinder just slide off or do you have to remove the studs. Also need ideas as to where to get cylinder kit. Thanks,

The cylinder should slide right off once the nuts are off.
Do you need the whole cylinder kit with piston or just a piston and rings? Heres a kit you can check out. You could possibly get it cheaper from one of the site sponsors. Yamaha Top End Kit G1 1978-88 |

Thanks Roady, I need the cylinder kit(piston, rings, cylinder, pin, and keepers. I suspected that the cylinder just pulled of but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks again.
