![]() Hi guys, I'm new here and doing some repair work on a G1 for a friend. Once you remove the head does the cylinder just slide off or do you have to remove the studs. Also need ideas as to where to get cylinder kit. Thanks,

![]() The cylinder should slide right off once the nuts are off.
Do you need the whole cylinder kit with piston or just a piston and rings? Heres a kit you can check out. You could possibly get it cheaper from one of the site sponsors. Yamaha Top End Kit G1 1978-88 |

![]() Thanks Roady, I need the cylinder kit(piston, rings, cylinder, pin, and keepers. I suspected that the cylinder just pulled of but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks again.
