![]() I am installing a 24/36 volt motor, the solenoids are all 36V can I bypass the solenoids and reversing switch to check the motor at 12 Volts?
Does any one know the minimum kick in voltage for switching 36V solenoids? I know that once they are closed, they do not care what the pass through voltage is. Newbie thanking you in advance. |

![]() yes, the motor will spin at 12V. not sure on the activation voltage of your solenoids, but testing a series motor for operation at 12V is common practice.

![]() Thank you Sonic, Wired her up and connected to a small wheel chair bat & the motor spun right up. I was trying to connect the field in parallel, duh why do they call it series wound? (senior moment).
Any way am looking forward to getting the batteries & then will try going riding. Thanks again. |
