![]() soaking the carb in cleaner wont solve the plug fuel jet.
take the jet out of the bottom of the bowl and run a small pc. of wire through it and spray it well. a small speck of dirt will stop the gas flow. good luck, Dew |

![]() thanks rusty & dewdiggler for yhe quick replys.yes dew i always use my tip cleaners for my torch and a small piece of copper wire through all the passages in the carb.we took the carb back off today to check the reed valves. they was working fine, took the coil off & had it checked, it was good.
this is starting to be real fun now and a real challege. i will take and try any and all in put. thanks guys ![]() |

![]() Is it just turning over by the starter?Sounds like its not idleing but just turning over sounding like its idleing.Check for spark, if its got fuel, and if its got compression thats all and engine needs to run.

![]() check the crank seals.
maybe the governer is stuck at the clutch ? (seen that happen) try lifting the rear end off the floor then run it full throttle by hand and see if something is sticking good luck, Dew |

![]() Did you run a compression test on it?
Along with the other things people have said, try disconnecting the muffler and see if it runs better. Mufflers on the 2 strokes will get clogged up and not let the engine run up rpms. |
