![]() Ok, ive never owned a cart before, but yesterday i picked up a old 1984 club car from a friend for next to nothing, it runs and moves.....kinda herkey jerky...i think some selinoids may be bad....but regardless, i took the body off to paint it, and i just want to learn more about how these carts function.
Like i said, i dont know anything about these old carts. Im told these are refered to as Resistor carts. Im not sure why? i have some pictures, if someone could please explain a few things, i would greatly appriceate it. These coils? what are they for? What do they do? Any general information about them. ![]() This box, its located on the drivers side, next to the battery area, it has alot of wires coming out of it......what does it do? any general informaion about it? ![]() The motor, I suppose im just un farmiliar with these all together. Why does it have 3 prongs? is one ground and the other two for forward and reverse ( or polarity switch?) ![]() Also, is there some sort of speed regulator on these? or a unit that draws off of different amount of batteris depending on ware the go pedal is down? i noticed mine is either slow or fast...no inbetween......do i have a problem with somthing? Im not looking to do anything super extreme, but i want to make the cart slightly faster.....assuming my batteries are good, what can i do to make this cart just alittle zippier? I will upgrade all my cables to 4g, but what else is there i can do? Thanks for the help Taylor |
