Default Want to out run Brother in Law

I got a 03 CC 6 inch lift with 23 in tires it is a 48 volt . The motor cables and controller are stock . I want to know what i need to do to make it go around 40. What motor ,controller, change gears in rear end? Really thinking about also going to 72 volts. If someone could please point me in the right direction it would be appreciated I 'm tired of my brother in law talking about how fast his cart is and I will shut him up. Thanks in advance

Welcome to BGW! I would go with a Gas Yamaha G16 and bypass the governor.

Seriously? Are you really going to spend $1500 to beat the BIL? And 40mph? That is scary fast in a golf cart..... At that speed you better add another $1200 for disc brakes What about seatbelts and rollbar? This doesn't sound like a very realistic request to me? Try searching 72v there is a member in Riverside Ca who was running 72v recently... I see the controllers alone at $1000 plus. Good Luck

Upgrade the controller to 72 volts, replace all your batts with 12 volters. Thats as cheap as your going to get. If that don't do it then upgrade the motor. Alltrax has a nice 72 volt controller.
