91 Marathon Pulse coil
The kids where riding the cart around out by the barn and it off like some turned the key off. I have voltage thru the microswitches and back up to the solenoid but there is no voltage coming back out of the solenoid on ignition side. I pulled the green wire off the coil and the voltage came back up. There must be a short somewhere in the ignition.
First I tested the coil and found it to be within specification. I hooked the coil back up and disconnect the pulsar and the voltage came back up.
I then checked the pulser and found it at 142-143 ohms which signifies a bad pulser from what I’ve read. Decided to check the pulsar for output and found it still generating pulses so I was not totally convinced that the Pulsar assembly is bad. Hooked the pulser assembly back into the harness and the cart fired right and has now run for a couple of hours.
Is it possible for the pulsar to be bad and the motor still run? Could the high impedance of the pulser being messing with the ignition module?
