![]() Cart accidently lurched forward while front wheels off. Came to stop in garage. Since then, reverse alarm on continuously when "run" switched on (under seat).
Motor won't run forward or reverse. I forgot to say it is a '98 EZ Go Golf Cart Last edited by larry007; 01-15-2011 at 07:36 PM.. Reason: Lack of information in post |

![]() Working on replacing front springs, mat hit and held footfeed down, car went forward until it stopped against wall. Reverse alarm started and wouldn't go off. It seemed that the brakes also were set, so I backed them off to move the cart back.

![]() I am back now. I got real lucky, when the cart jumped off the jack stands and went forward. I forgot to turn off the key and take the cart out of run mode...it could still be going.
The back-up alarm is still going on when the car is in the run mode, no matter whether the key is on or off and no matter what position of the Forward/Reverse handle. I think that the cart was still trying to go forward, but something caught the brake mechanism and stopped it. If it was trying to go, but the brakes were applied, is there some kind of safety mechanism that will stop the motor and sound the alarm? I can't see any wires loose or out of place. Everything appears normal. |

![]() No. We need to ID your carts drive system... Is there a toggle switch on the controller cover?

![]() Can anyone give me some advice on this issue? I heading to the garage to see if I can find anything that might be causing the problem, but I don't really have a clue since nothing LOOKS wrong.

![]() Put the rear up on jacks... use a short battery cable to jump the solenoid large posts and tell us if it runs......
