![]() I need some help here guys. I'm trying to replace the rear axle bearings on my 79 marathon with the dana axle. I have the drum, backing plate, keyway and snap ring removed already. I guess my question is do I need a slide hammer to get the axle out? Is there any c-clips inside the diff I have to worry about? Bothe drums catch in one spot and I cleaned and adjusted the brakes thinking that was it but no go. When I press the accelerator pedal it clunks and jerks but won't move. It does it in forward and reverse. Any help would be appreciated.
