20 huh? Looks like you will be disabling governor (i dont reccomend this), or high speed gears (you will loose some hill climbing power). If you use some bigger "street" style tires & wheels, crank the governor (not disabled, just adjusted to max), and ensure throttle cables are perfectly adjusted you MIGHT hit 21 with no other mods.

HS gears are worth the cost if you want it faster and no other mods or lifts, it will roll faster all the time without screaming the engine. Either 22/23 atv tires or HS gears will give you about 10mph more than you have. Also look at plowmans he has kits that work well to hop them up, can tell you what you need. Turn the governor nut all the way in and see what you have now, make sure the belt is not worn out or your clutches not working properly. Lube them, I think there is a sticky here on that. You may need to do some clutch work if you need to go up big hills or tow as they get weak with more gearing, but not that expensive to do. It mostly helps them have lower gearing and more rpm at low speeds.

I have a 2007 G29, and with the governor zip-tied (still works to some degree), and good clutches, I am hitting 20 MPH, with the stock 18" turf tires. So your goal is an easy one, and it won't cost you an arm and a leg to get there. Start by cranking down on the 10mm nut on the governor arm. That should get you real close to 20 MPH. Now, if you want to go significantly higher than 20 MPH, you are now talking about completely bypassing the governor, adding larger tires (which requires a lift kit), or changing to 8:1 gears in the rear end if you want to keep stock tires. This will run you some money.

If your belt is old it may slow it down a little.
