Default lithium upgrade

I am looking to upgrade my i40l Icon. i was wondering what the best lithium kit is for a 2023? I've decided 105ah would be sufficient. is there one brand that outshines the rest? Must be made in the USA.

Most people answer this question by how much they want to spend. I would say from the reviews ECO battery and Bolt Energy are at the top but if you want a custom option then go with Skunkworks, they assemble Chinese components to meet your needs.

I really like the eco 105mah battery in my cart. The only downside is the ride quality suffered because of the reduced weight of the battery.

It is like driving a 1 ton pickup with nothing in the bed.

I could be wrong but unless somethings changed, your likely not going to find a lithium battery made in the usa for a golf cart. You will find some where the chinese batteries are "assembled" into a pack with the bms added in the usa and supported well by that company but I know of no lithium battery manufacturers min the united states actually manufacturing the individual 3.6v batteries that are wired in a series to make the different voltage "battery" packs here. most of the rare earth materials for these batteries comes from China of africa and there just doesnt appear to be anything here on this scale. even the EV's like Tesla are using chinese batteries.

Good Day Sir!

We are the OEM supplier for Icon over at Eco Battery and while the battery is not 100% made here (as previously mentioned, none are) , we are as USA as USA gets these days. We are headquartered in St. George Utah and employee many Americans families. We have a full time customer support team here in the US and we pick up the phone when you call.

The advantages to using Eco Battery over other brands is that Eco is the only battery that integrates fully with your cart and communicates directly with your controller. This means things like safety limp modes can be installed for faults and low voltages allowing for the cart to come to a stop slowly as opposed to any other battery which would lock your brake up and sling you forward. They also taper amperage at low %'s to give you the best possible chance to get home. As mentioned, this is only available with Eco Battery. All you would need to do is find a local dealer to flash your cart with Eco Batteries tech tool to get the full integration.

Hope this helps, any questions reach out!

save your $$$ and buy something on amazon. I went with the Vatrer when it was on sale and works great. Sure the battery percentage doesn't work but comes with a screen or just use the Bluetooth app.

I went with the LithiumRhino 65ah setup on my I60L. Run around the campground and getting about 18 miles per charge (80%). 1 1/2 hours to recharge from 60%. Did drop my tire pressures to 16 in the rear and 18 in fronts. Straight up plug and play with with lithium monitor in the dash cubby. I'm loving it - zips to the 15mph speed limit in a heartbeat.
