Default Engine oil leak

I have a 94 4 stroke that has oil blowing out what looks like a block vent on the side of the engine block , any ideas on why and how to fix ? Thanks for any input!

First thing to do is check for proper oil level.

Oil level is fine ..the leak is coming from the crankcase vent and seems to happen after climbing hills

Have you done a compression check on the cylinders?

Is the cart lifted? If so, then you can't really go by the marks on the dip stick. You can have no more than 1.5 qts or it will blow it out the crank case vent.

Was it lifted prior to the rebuild? With the same amount of oil?
Did you replace the rings? Any honing involved? Did you do a compression test after rebuild?

If pressure is allowed to get past the rings, it will blow oil out the vent.

The lift has been on awhile but was never able to climb steep hills till after rebuild ,it has been bored and rebuilt with all new parts so the engine is fine ...so sccowboy mentioned that it needs .5 less oil with it lifted

What you'll need to do is drain the oil and refill with exactly 1.5 qts. Then scribe a mark on the dip stick to indicate the correct level.
