2008 ezgo electrical problem
I have a 2008 gas ezgo that I just bought. It was bogging on hills and just no torque on the low end. I finally figured out that if I disconnect the green wire from the generator to the regulator it runs great. I replaced the regulator still same issue. I also have metered the output of the generator and it is around 12.5 volts. i am at a loss.

Re: 2008 ezgo electrical problem
I'm not sure if it was the EZGO, or Club Car section, but I recently read two different threads about the same issue.
One of them was about the generator getting really hot, and the other was bogging down like yours. Both issues were the generator bogging down the engine because the power it was producing had nowhere to go. I think you should check the large starter wires for a good connection. I'll search around for those threads. EDIT: Ok, this is funny. I found the other thread. It was yours. |
