Inductive Throtle
Does anyone have a circuit or description of how the Inductive circuit works.

Here you go.
The .pdf file is the patent documents, which contains the theory of operation, but in a nutshell, it is a proximity sensor. The sensor is only part of the ITS circuit, the rest is inside the controller and different make/model controllers use the same sensor in different ways, so you have to know which controller it is being used with to know what the voltages ought to be. To make thing more interesting, some controllers feed it from a constant voltage source while other feed it from a constant current source. Its weakness is the potting compound shrinks over time, so hairline cracks form and moisture (humidity) gets onto it, causing all sorts of strange behavior. |
