I run UNI's with covers on my sled powered mini sand rail. Two strokes die when they suck in the least bit of dirt and these have held up to all the dust I've ever asked them to. They will need to be cleaned a bit more but anything in those conditions will. Dawn dish soap and a can of filter oil and you're good to go and generally speaking you only buy them once.

I'd say that a good canister type is best. I actually have the one that came with my 25hp Kawasaki that now resides in my G1.
I had the canister hooked up to the engine and had enough room under the body for it. (It's a big canister) Now though that I cut the rear body off and added a box that sets on the frame I can't figure out anywhere for the canister that it will fit. But for best filtration, that's what I'd look for if I didn't already have one. |
