Looking to upgrade 36 volt Series cart
Have a stock 2003 Ez-Go txt series cart. Want to install an enclosure with doors, but the cart is slow enough now, afraid it'll go even slower. Don't need to go screaming down the fairway, just want to upgrade enough to do 15-16 mph and be able to climb the inclines on the course. Already upgraded to 4 gauge wiring. Also, don't want to break the bank with new motor/controller, etc. Understand something has to be replaced, just don't know the best place to start. Know if I go to big on a controller and/or motor, will probably have to up the solenoid and FNR. Any ideas as to best way to do this?

Re: Looking to upgrade 36 volt Series cart
Hi Slugo
This is a series drive cart so a bigger control will allow the motor access to more amperage which will allow the motor to make more torque but not necessarily more speed unless a lack of power. There is lots to read about upgrading Golf Carts on my website http://www.cartsunlimited.net/ |
