Default 1993 Marathon 36volt cart - back up alarm

Hello,

I just bought a used Marathon golf cart. I need to have the back up alarm working for the campground I am using it at. The previous owner disconnected the back up alarm by pulling the black wire from some where. Can someone tell me where I need to reconnect this to so that the alarm works when in revers.

So - I hooked up the blak to the neg terminal and the alarm came on and would not go off - regardless of where the switch was. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks, Dennis

on the f/r switch there are 3 micro switches on one side there is a double
one for the potentiometer and one for the reverse buzzer , it has the red and white wire going to it
if it is bad it will sound the buzzer all the time

Am I better of replacing the whole thing or can just those micro switches be replaced?

If one of the switches is stuck, you may be able to clean and lube the lever arm and fix it. Otherwise, replace the microswitch. Quite often, they are just stuck.
