The cart can operate without the diode. Just be SURE you stop before touching the F&R lever (toggle). If you remove the diode and the cart continues to not run you may have a different problem.

No sir I eased on the gas for a sec then gave it a little more gas then heard a loud pop. Opened the seat and noticed the diode had blown apart.

Just removed what was left of the diode and that wasn't much. Not enough to even take a picture of. And the dang thing still doesn't do much the motor kinda jerks a little but that is it.

There is no fault codes or anything showing on the controller. It just has a green light

Measure the voltage between the controller's B- and B+ terminals after the solenoid clicks.
Should be full pack voltage (38.2V). If not there is a solenoid contact or high current cable issue. The motor jerking could be caused by it trying to run off the energy stored in the filter capacitors. |
