Are there any limitations with XCT on a DCS?

Limitations?
Yes, you will be limited to better performance and easier programming with advanced features

Just curious, how does Alltrax trick the XCT-DCS into providing Roll-a-way protection and Rpm limiting without a speed sensor?

Hint: According the Toolkit manual, they don't

I doubt that they do. Speed sensor is usually used for those features.

I was merely listing the benefits of the XCT vs the DCX.
Not all the XCT features are available for the DCS cart as it had no speed sensor. Nor would the speed sensor features be available for Club Cars Regen I.
Regen I and DCS were both short production steps to a later system.

I guess I understand without a speed sensor some of the benefits are not available.

But is it possible to put in a PDS motor on a DCS cart with a speed sensor and get the benefits?

I think what you mean is is it possible to convert DCS to PDS ... and the answer is yes, of course. You can convert any TXT to PDS

Just started thinking more about my question of converting DCS to PDS...

With my little knowledge of golf carts...I think it's a lot of changes... More than just plugging in speed sensor.

Yes, the trouble with this forum is it leads us all to believe that we can do anything when in fact .... in reality ... we can not
Just because Johnnie can say it and gctech can do it does not mean you average Joe user, are automatically going to be successful doing a drive system conversion.
KISS (keep it simple stupid) is still good advice. Wish I had a DCS cart actually.
