Yamaha g9..motor issue
Have a g9 4 stroke motor..starts and runs but will not rev up to full power.
cheked compression. .135/150psi..pulled and clean carb..gas is good..not sure of psi tho. also good spark. It tries to jump up rpm but wont go..also gov is long gone too. weve also checked valves and adjustments. ..012..not sure where to go next..any ideas or info? Please and thanks! |

Valves should be at .004 cold. Have you replaced the fuel filter?

That tight..004.. I) reset them and see what happens. Checked fuel filter too..but just gonna replace it. Thanks

Could be a restriction in air flow.
