Default Question using rtv reassembling axles.

Hi guys, I don't post much but have had so many questions answered by searching thanks everyone for sharing.

I just finished rebuilding the rear axle on my 2003 EZGO Shuttle. New outer axle seals, bearings, retainers, full gear set and pumpkin.

Question is do I need to use RTV to seal when reassembling?

Thanks for the help. Pic attached.

The shuttle has a different axle design from the smaller carts. On mine there is no reason to seal it there. But in your case, I would put a thin film of RTV.

Yeah it has rubber seals further inside the housing, I guess a lil' smidge won't hurt. ;). Thank you.
