How fast are you running on the new tires and the new controller and fresh batteries?

So when I wire the radio. Can I wire it to the key switch or should I wire it straight to the batteries

Not the key switch as it 36V,I personally would use an AUX. battery 12V/or use a converter to run any accessories off of,because it will pull down the pack batteries if you wire to two of them for 12V, and also not charge them properly when charging the pack.
But for testing purposes to check wiring would be fine to use 2 of the 6V batteries , again that's my own opinion and personal preference.

You need 12V for the radio I assume!

Yeah I built the cart about 6 or 7 months ago. I couldn't remember if the key switch was 12 or 36v. DVM went missing. That's why I love this site. U guys are awesome.

Get a meter and check things out so that you don't let the smoke out of the radio. I am sure it wants 12V so you have to wire it from your reducer if you have one. (or off of two of your 6V batteries) There won't be 12V at your key switch.
