Battery cable arcs
Battery cable arcs when reattaching to batts. Almost like a draw on system .But when checked with fluke meter nothing obvious .

I just put a voltage reducer on our cart ( 48 to 12V) and when I hook the battery back up, I also get a good spark. I don't have the output connected to anything yet. I assume it is drawing regarless. Scared to try it again.
There is nothing turned to on with your cart? |

If you draw an arc either connecting or disconnecting any circuit it means there is a load drawing current. There is no other way for that to happen.

Thanks Scotty. I figured as much. I think I will add and on/off switch for that reducer just so I can isolate it during charges etc. Hey, why don't I load up the Precedent and bring it over for some motor removal help! Ummmmmm, should be there about next Wed.
