Default 2014 Ezgo TXT

Ok, about to buy a 2014 ezgo txt in great shape. It has the freedom upgrade, but I live in a area with some hills and will need some more torque. I am good with the 22-23 mph, but what upgrades would you be looking at for this? Just a 400 amp Altrax? New motor? And what can I expect with each upgrade you recommend? Thanks for the help.

Great cart. The Alltrax XCT400 control for TXT48 will give a bout 30% more torque and speeds around 22-24 depending upon the cart. Admiral D2 10 hp speed motor has been giving guys 27-29 mph with 3Xs the hp.

Wow. I think 22-24 is good, but probably just need more torque. It is lifted, with 23" tires on it. Do you still think the xct400?

And when you say depending on the cart, what do you mean?

Depending upon the cart = Every car is a little different. In this case it's only 2 yrs old but many of the carts we see here are 25 yrs old. Some fared better than others and results varied.

Sounds them like the 400 xct is the ticket on this one with stock motor. Will I need to change the solenoid or can I use the stock one on this cart since already 48v?

The OEM solenoid is the proper voltage but not the correct capacity. The XCT400 control will be allowing more amperage to flow so the solneoid will need to be upgraded. In this case we pair the control with the SW180 200a continuous solenoid per the manufactures recommendation.
