I understand, but that battery #1 should have never been used like you have it now.

The only reason the cart is working is because you are back-feeding 40v to the key switch circuit through a tiny little diode in the existing brake relay harness.

Remove/disconnect that wire.

Test the voltage on the Green wire at the key switch.

If You don't have voltage there, make sure the Tow/Run switch is on Run and that the 15 amp fuse in the fuse holder near the controller is not blown.

That can only happen if power is being back fed to the Blue wire on the key switch circuit.

The most common cause is trying to tap a few batteries for accessories instead of using a 48v->12v converter.

If You connect the bucket harness negative wire to anyplace other than the provided 12ga black wire with yellow bullet connector in the battery bucket, You will get that problem.

You can easily verify that by disconnecting the pigtail wire with bullet connector that is on the bucket harness 12-pin connector that comes up on the passenger side of the dash.

Which pigtail wire are you talking about disconnecting to test if this is the case? I attached a few pictures. Having this same problem and haven;t been able to figure it out even after reading all the previous posts about the problem.

I attached other pictures of a mystery wire coming off battery # 4 I believe but it is not attached to anything.

Thanks, Mark
