Default Wire upgrade for DS

I searched but didnt find the answer. Could someone tell me the number of wires and length of each wire needed to upgrade both iq and series ds? Thanks

you say wires but assume you mean battery, motor, and controller cables. My series DS took roughly 30 feet of 2ga cable to replace all , most of it being used running the 4 cables to the F/R switch . Can not give you length of each cable for mine changed when I turned 3 batteries. This allows all my battery cables to run on the outside and not across .

Thanks! I have some 1/0 and 2/0 welding cable that i got for free. Do you think that would be too big to use

Other than being much larger than you will ever need and neither will fit through the OBC, cable can never be too big. Especially true when the cost is FREE. There are several ways to get around the OBC issue. Bypassing seems to be one and site sponsors offer a kit that eliminates the need for your cable to pass through the OBC. I'm sure smarter members than me will chime in with the source of, and probably a link for the kit.
