charging question
Alright soo i purchased this thing a while back and i just didnt use it..
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 recently i did and i was fairly suprised in what it accomplished It will get up to about 58.4 and hold for a bit and once its down itll drop to 53.8 and hold there Question is, if i take it off and hook up my regular charger itll jump straight up to 62volts and carry on but them amp draw is at about 7-8 amps.. Should i keep it on and allow it to charge or did the little charger do fine? |

Re: charging question
The little one is a Maintenance Charger. So you use your big charger until the batteries are fully charged, then you hook up the Maintenance Charger and you can leave that on "forever". It will keep the batteries fully topped off safely.

Re: charging question
Is your big charger working enough to be able to view the Amps still? Estimating an amp draw of 5a or lower is when you would disconnect the big charger and switch to the Maintenance Charger. The voltage number is not near as important.

Re: charging question
Yes it still works enough to view the amp draw... Its just an old LOUD charger .. when its at about 62volts it pulling about 4-5 amps but i just have to be at the house to keep an eye on it because it dosnt shut off and will keep on going lol

Re: charging question
Well you could just keep track of the time estimated to hit that 4-5amps. If it's pretty consistent then just have it wired through a timer. Only issue is then you'd still have to go out and switch the chargers.
