Default Solenoid ?

Ok tried to jump the Solenoid.. from the side post to the red positive side and it shot fire out like crazy.. what did I do wrong.. I have done this is the past.. is something hooked up wrong.. shldnt I be able to put 36 volts to the small red terminal.. and the resistor have the strip to the positive side please help

Ok why do I have 36 volts and all 4 terminals now.. wth

Is this a ground issue shldnt the black side of the solenoid be ground?

Remove the resistor board from the 2 small terminals or any pre-charge resistor or diode on the solenoid. With the key off you should have power (+) on one big post with the battery cable connected.
With the key on and the cart in gear you should have power at the one big post above and one or both of the small terminals. with the pedal partially depressed the small terminal without the red wire on it should change to (-) and the solenoid should CLICK bringing power (+) to the second big post.
