Re: reversing contactor?
Okay, so I shouldn't mount it on the dash? Have to decide on this one. I would still have to drill holes in the body for that bracket from Scotty to put it where the old switch was.

Re: reversing contactor?
The switch Scotty uses in his reversing contactor kit is a Club Car directional switch used on sepex carts for years. It is made to be mounted by your knee, not on the dash. I and lots of others think this is a more convenient location than on the dash. If you want the switch on the dash then this switch is not for you. You could use a standard EZGO directional rocker switch from a PDS cart and put it in the cut out of your key switch plate (after you exchange it). It's up to you. Hope I/we didn't confuse you.

Re: reversing contactor?
I’m with Kernal on using the cc style switch and putting it below your knee. You’ve already got a hole there from the old f/r lever, right? It covers up the hole and it’s more convenient than reaching for the dash.

Re: reversing contactor?
My only suggestion with mounting the switch by the knee, where to original switch was mounted, is to mount it "upside down." (Put the switch part facing the floor)
I only say that as my young grandkids sit in the middle.....and with their rather short legs constantly moving.....it's easy for there shoes to hit the switch and you go from forward to reverse when it's really not a good thing to do. FWIW |

Re: reversing contactor?
That was one of the first things I checked, It's not. If you scroll down to the question and answers, the first question is whether or not it's a momentary switch. The reply is that's it's not. Thanks for looking out. Although I appreciate all the input, I think I'm still going to put it on the dash. If I don't like it, I can always change it down the road.

Re: reversing contactor?
In 2014 Ezgo introduced the new TXT48 body style with...... you guessed it, an F&R switch and housing in the CC location.
