Is there any easy way to change out the obc easily.? Ideas and or experience doing so. I have one on the way and just wanted to ask. Thanks

If I understand correctly you are going to be putting in new batteries. I would try the cart the way it is before changing the obc. I'm not the sharpest one about this, but I have a feeling you cart will charge correctly with new batteries. Will not hurt to give it a try.

There is no "easy" way to change an angle-mount OBC. This was before the introduction of the mounting panel, and the deutsch plug. Unfortunately, every wire on the OBC has to be routed entirely from point A to Point B. As for your symptoms, you need to change the OBC for sure. It's failed and it's "stuck" in charge mode. An OBC with these symptoms will NEVER turn off a charger. It'll sit there and boil your batteries as long as you leave it plugged in.

Can I replace the obc before new batteries? Or should I I currently cannot use the cart and be confident in the use of it far from home. Would it recondition the batteries alittle bit before getting new batteries?

Yes, you can replace it any time you want. No, it will not do anything for your existing batteries....

"...confident in the use of it far from home."

You are asking for absolutes in something that can't be predicted.

I'm not 100% "confident in the use" of anything, new or used.

You have beaten a dead horse.

Do as the members (most all of them veteran experts) have suggested and report back to us.
