2011 TXT rear end??
I have a friend with a 2011 TXT with a trashed rear end. What years would be a direct replacement?

Re: 2011 TXT rear end??
Looks like they used the same rear axle for many body styles and over many years.
But, they sure aren't cheap from EZGO: https://shopezgo.com.au/products/2313 73500G01 Availability: Available Now OEM replacement E-Z-GO rear axle used to drive rear wheels, select forward and reverse. This part should be replaced when axle is excessively noisy or possibly when car does not move in one direction or the other. Vehicle Fit: Used on 1994-current E-Z-GO Electric Medalist, TXT, 2004-current Workhorse and MPT (Multi-Purpose Truck) 800 Rear Axle gear ratio 12.44:1 This item replaces previous Part# 602616 ----------------------------- There are a couple ads for reman units, google the part number. |

Re: 2011 TXT rear end??
Like JB said there are many years that should fit I'm not aware of a major rear end change since the TXT platform was introduced in 1994.5. There was an early drive tooth change from 21 to 22 around 1996-96 (don't hold me to the years here) But It would be safe to say that anything from any model PDS or series 2000- 2011 would fit. I don't know about forward of that - There was a body change in 2013.5 but I would almost bet the rearend remained unchnaged... after all if something works, is bulletproof and has a name like Dana on it .... why change it

What'd he do to trash the rear diff? These things are pretty solid.

It's a long story, but bottom line it was run for years without grease.

Call the local golf cart supplier. Mine here in Canada has STACKS of old axles that are fine. You don't have to get a new one. They are pretty solid units if you take care of them. They sell them super cheap too.

I just googled the part number and opened the first one I saw that had shopezgo in the title. Didn't read the whole line of gibberish. Thanks for the catch... |
