Default Bad Boy Buggie problems

I have an 08 BBB Classic I can't get running right. It had a broken axle hub and old batteries that I have replaced. I also replaced the two solenoids. It has run once since then, mostly the front motor. Now it just runs the rear motor part of the time, and throws various codes, mostly 3.

After reading all I could find on these, it seems the sevcon controllers don't work too well nor last very long. Has anyone swapped in some Alltrax controllers to this buggie? I'd be interested in hearing about their recommendations.
If I put more $ in this, I expect it to run for some time, and the sevcons don't look too good. Otherwise its time to just stop and peddle it for parts.

It would seem to me that if you can't get the BBB to work the way it was intended, you still have the bones of a cart to modify to be a good hunting cart.

My TXT has posi-traction (limited slip) and I've not found to many instances where 4WD would be helpful. For those times it would have been a plus, I have a winch on the front and back.

If you go in the direction of making it a BBB without the BBB issues, it seems to me that a good controller and working with just the rear may be an easy and productive way to go.

Just an idea.

I was considering looking at this direction. I sent alltrax a note seeing if they have a similar or exact, controller. I haven't heard back yet. The basic cart is nice. It has raised ride height, sits good, has racks.
I might even pull the front motor to reduce drag. I read someone changed out front end to make a clean 2wd version. More energetic than me.
The stock sevcon controllers are 330 amp and I think should be 400 or 500 amp, which is what I'll put in if I buy something else.
