Re: Who has done Navitas ac conversion Yamaha G29
Update.. I let the smoke out of my stock motor. Installed a admiral d2 and got the dealer app from Navitas. The field mapping for the d2 is weak, and runs the battery down faster ???.. it seems like it’s capable of way more. Been running the Riot PlumbQuik settings and it runs like a champ. I’ve even checked the temp with a lazer thermometer and it doesn’t get any hotter than with the d2 program.
I’ve installed all 2ga copper with everything... |

Re: Who has done Navitas ac conversion Yamaha G29
Navitas install is great, better speed and control overall via the app and dials is very nice to have (pricey but worth it).
One thing to consider when doing the kit upgrade is that if your batteries have a weak point, it will get exposed quickly. These Navitas kits suck battery juice. So like myself, a $1700 investment is now going to turn into needing another $2000+ for battery upgrade. |

Re: Who has done Navitas ac conversion Yamaha G29
Depends on the capacity and the choosen parts, in my case i've saved for sure 1000k+ vs. a drop in battery (120ah). CATL EV cells, JBD 200/400a smart bms, metal case = ~ 1750$ plus some labour.

I’d be interested in building a 72v. I’m seeing 100ah+ in the $4000 range. Should be able to do much cheaper

Re: Who has done Navitas ac conversion Yamaha G29
I've just recently read, there's no real gain with 72v vs. 48v on a AC cart? More expensive and you'll need much more space.
