High pitch dog whistle from 88 ez....help
We started hearing this ultra high pitch sound and nothing makes it go away. It's doing it all the time, no matter which way you switch the drive selector, key on/off. Gas on, brake on or off.... nothing makes this quiet but very annoying sound go away. I thought it might be the gas cap not sealing, I know my zero turn will do that if the cap is not tight. It's like a diode or something is squealing... if that makes sense. It's so high pitched, and not that loud, that we can't pin point it's annoying location!!

Thinking about this more, could it be that annoying reverse buzzer going bad? Where is that thing so I can rip it out... it doesnt work anyway.

Re: High pitch dog whistle from 88 ez....help
I have used something like this for years, I can not hear high pitched sounds(open stinger pipes on 9-10 thousand rpm engines). I would put tape on the end before poking around electronics.
