Re: Opinion on Interstate Batteries?
Last May brought four 12 volt batteries from Sam's club which were marked Interstate Battery with speed fillers as pictured in a previous response. Price difference between Trojan(and others) and these batteries was just too great. Zero issues so far.

Re: Opinion on Interstate Batteries?
I actually located a Trojan retailer within about a 45 min drive from me.
I have 8v batts so I'm looking at the Trojan T-875 vs the Interstate U8VGC His prices on the 2 were as follows Interstate U8VGC = $112 ea Trojan T-875 = $127 ea For only $15 diff each, I'll go with the Trojans. |

Re: Opinion on Interstate Batteries?
Wow skm2006 - those prices are close! Mine were further apart... $125-$130 was the best for Trojan T-875's here. The Interstates were $90 using a business discount.... $35 per batt difference made me go US brand! I am going to be very strict about maintenance to see how far they go. The savings bought my PQ motor!
As for leaking, my old Trojans leaked terribly and I figured it was from overfilling by previous owner as it slowed the longer I owned it. I did have a mess to clean up on the frame. My Interstates seem to be tight so far and don't leak at the end of the charge which I understand is where a little "boiling" takes place. I also use the BU water fill bottle to eliminate the guess work of filling. |
