97 DCS solenoid not clicking at right time
I have an electric, 1997 DCS EZGO cart. The solenoid was bad and I replaced it. Now the solenoid clicks when the directional handle is moved to either F or R. However, I never hear it click when the pedal is depressed.
From what I've read, the solenoid should not click in except when the pedal is depressed. I believe my wiring is at fault. There has been quite a bit of "after market" work done to this cart and I've been trying to sort it all out. Also, how do I tell if the motor is bad? I haven't read much about troubleshooting the motor or replacing parts inside it. Does it make sense to rebuild the motor myself, if that's the problem? Are re-manufactured, or rebuilt, or new motors the way to go? |

Check in the stickies at the top of the page. I think you will find some answers there. Sounds like you have a/some wires crossed.
