G14 first things
So I just purchased 3 carts, all 1995 Yamaha G14A gas carts. I have one "good" motor and one with a hole in the bottom of the block. I am taking the "good" motor apart to replace the clutch because it is rusted through and ripped off.
My question is what things need to be done? I am trying to formulate a plan of attack to get this done efficiently so it can be done by Christmas. I need general things that go wrong and that need preventative work and things that will just help, like is it standard/good practice to upgrade the air filter, go ahead and beef up the electrical, or replace seals or bearings that usually go bad? This cart will be for my mom to ride the grandkids around and tote stuff around, no lift or big block. It does have the rear fold out seat and will probably carry a couple passengers. Thanks |

Re: G14 first things
Read this whole Yamaha site. You will learn tons. All yamaha's are some what similar, what works for one will usually work for the others.
Bet you end up building the third for your self! These things are addicting!! |
