I'm thinking YES this is the factory bracket that at some point had broken loose and welded. It's the lower muffler bracket. When installing the exhaust system install all the parts loose with gaskets then start at the head and work your way up and tighten the bolts. You may find you'll have to shim the muffler so it doesn't put extra load on the exhaust system let it find it's own home.

I am guessing if that bracket broke off that's why the jug was busted

It looks a though just the muffler bracket it's self broke the engine mount it's self looks correct. I would say the base bolts either came loose or ??? don't see how just a side could break unless hit with a big hammer or forced in some way tightening bolts incorrect. With that said don't make the same mistake. Good luck

yes it was broke when i bought the cart, (which I didnt know at the time). I did find the nuts on the base were not tight. But new upper end kit is here, just waiting on seals.

Don't forget that the piston must be orientated with the port in the skirt facing the carburetor.

My clutch has a 9/16 inch thread not a 3/4, so my clutch removel bolt is the wrong size, will have to send and back. but I bought items to make my own. So one must of put a clutch from something else or another year
